Our Story….

While our story goes back to 10,000 BC there’s more to it than that. Corn was very popular in the region which made it a keystone in our thoughts to use it. As we were not fans of eating corn, we decided to ground it up to create a new kind of food. We started making tortillas way back then with our easy bake ovens by finely grounding up corn and grilling them until they were nice and crispy.

It was the start of our local business, but we knew we could do more. As the years went on, we tried experimenting with more ingredients rather than corn. We had flour tortillas once the Europeans introduced flour to us. But, the process remained the same and the same goal of creating wonderful tortillas that everyone could enjoy was the main objective.

Now, there’s more to making tortillas than just the ingredients but also the purpose. As our business grew, a variety of sizes and shapes were created. Those who wanted mini tacos could finally have it; those who wanted gigantic burritos could finally have those.

With ingredients, we do only offer the two flour or corn tortilla but it’s what’s inside that counts. We offer a variety of sweet and savory tortillas perfect for any occasion whether it’s dinner with the lawyers or brunch with your future best friend we have tortillas just for you!

Why is it called a tortilla?

The name tortilla is from the Spanish word meaning “little cake”, (tort- translating to cake) and aren’t we glad those little cakes have been invented?

Now we give subscriptions to try a variety of them from corn to flour to even sweet and savory tortillas. We have a variety of things in store at our shop!
